The “Amy 7” is a small sampling in comparison to the hundreds of songs I have put on playlists to remember Amy, us, our life together, and dealing with our present separation.

2 – “Good Years” (The Shires)

Amy and I had so many very GOOD years and will have many more in eternity. A caution: please don’t take your years, days, hours, minutes, and seconds with your significant other or your family for granted.

3 – “Nobody But You” (Cody Fry)

Amy was my rose in the desert. Our love, a love I could never measure. There is nobody but Amy then, now, and forever.

4 – “Desperate” (The Shires)

Still crazy, oh so very crazy about Amy after all this time. Desperate for that moment when I can tell Amy.

5 – “Smiling Face” (James Taylor)

See Amy’s smiling face, a smile like no other.

6 – “On the Day I Die” (The Shires)

Amy’s message to me and us. A line in the song… if Amy did one thing right (which Amy did many) … “Oh I loved You, I always loved You.” From the moment we met and fell in love Amy was all in. Amy’s love for me, us, and what we had together never wavered. Also, Amy loved rolling the windows down throwing her hands through the moon roof when we would go driving in the warmer months. I’ll always remember those moments – Amy smiling, laughing, and screaming in exuberance and joy, and again on our way to Sarasota, Florida on Amy’s birthday in 2018.

7 – “Home Sick” (Mercy Me)

This song conveys some of what I feel everyday, the living in this season before I’m reunited with Amy is the toughest. You see, our story isn’t over. Yes, it will be different in heaven, but not over ever. I will be thankful for whatever God has for us in our future in heaven. Hundreds of years from now we will look back in Thanksgiving for all He has done for us – giving us life, salvation in Christ, our life together, our children, and our extended family. Yes, so thankful. I would be remiss to say what our relationship will be or look like in heaven, though our relationship will never be over ever because of what Christ has done for us. Home sick? Absolutely. Looking forward ever so for that day when I see Amy smiling, laughing, happy, & healthy. Oh what a sight!
